Ground Turkey/Beef Tex Mex Burgers

Ground Turkey/Beef Tex Mex Burgers

Yield – 4 servings

Serving Size – 1 burger

** If using ground beef, omit serving with avocado. **

Macros Per Serving:

*All amounts are dependent on YOUR meal plan!*

Carb – 1 hamburger bun

Protein – 99% lean ground turkey/beef

Fat – avocado (1/2 small avocado, sliced)

Additional Veggies/Ingredients: chili seasoning, peppers, onions, tomato, veggie of choice/salad

Recipe Notes:

1) Finely dice 1 pepper, 1 jalapeno and ½ red onion – sauté over medium heat with ¼ tsp. each salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder – cook for 5-6 minutes, or until softened, add 2 minced cloves of garlic in the last minute

2) Combine cooked veggies with 14 ounces ground turkey, and 1 packet chili seasoning – mix until ingredients are evenly distributed

3) Divide meat into fourths and form patties, about ½ inch thick

4) Cook patties in skillet over medium heat, about 4/5 minutes each side

5) Serve burgers on a hamburger bun with tomato, and slices of avocado

Can be paired with any extra veggie or salad.
