Is Ankle Mobility Your Problem?

When we squat, our bodies require a number of things; ankle mobility, hip mobility, thoracic mobility, core strength, etc. If we struggle to squat correctly, one of these aspects is likely compromised. But how do we know what the problem is? The best thing to do is to test to see what the problem. One test we can perform is ankle mobility.

If the shins tend to stay pretty vertical, test to see what your ankle mobility looks like when we have deloaded, and determine if this is the area that we need to spend time working on. If this isn’t your problem, stay tuned for more mobility tests to determine what the problem is!
