I Can’t Promise That

Sometimes I get frustrated with this industry.

By: Mike Harland

A large part of that is because I can’t promise all of the things that other people do.

I can’t.

You see, I browse my social media outlets, I check out what some of the “health coaches” are saying, and I just couldn’t lead people to believe some of the things they say.

I can’t promise to sell you a shake that magically makes your fat disappear.

I can’t promise you a one size fits all video series to do at your house.

I can’t promise to pick you up and drop you off after your workouts.

The only thing I can promise is that my staff and I will do our best to teach you “the right way” to achieve your goals.

No quick fixes.

Because that’s not what fitness is. It’s about dedicating yourself to a lifestyle; eating better, sleeping better, exercising, de-stressing, etc.

That takes time.

If you follow any of our challenges, you’ll notice that they are most often 10 weeks in length. You’ll see people posting they lost 6 pounds, 4 pounds, and numbers like that their first week. Maybe even into their second week. After that, we’re plugging away with a goal of 1 – 2 pounds per week

Want to know something? Those people didn’t lose 10 pounds of fat in 2 weeks. It doesn’t happen like that. I like to think of it as “autocorrect” for the body. They started eating the right foods, moving a bit, are becoming less bloated, and shit like they were supposed to. They probably weighed themselves first thing in the morning, too, which had them weighing a little less.

The weight loss wasn’t because we had the best program on the planet.

It’s not because we have magic meal plans that create miracles.

It’s because these people started moving more and eating less of the bad stuff.

Where a program like ours is valuable is in the way that we help you to understand how to set and accomplish realistic goals.

We focus on long term solutions.

We teach you how to move well so that you can exercise forever, not kick the shit out of you and lead you to believe that that’s what it takes.

We hire coaches with extensive knowledge bases that have first-hand experience working with real people in the fitness industry.

We will motivate you.

We will inspire you.

We will help you to be your best you.

But it’s going to take some effort from you as well. You are going to have to be willing to put the work in and dedicate your life to this. Not 3 weeks…

Want to know what happens, though, when you do things the right way? You accomplish goals that are real and long lasting.

Your metabolism works the way it should and doesn’t get jacked up from fad diets and bs shake systems. (This is actually something extremely difficult for people to overcome)

You gain muscle AND lose fat instead of starving and cannibalizing yourself.

You begin to eat the right foods again so you don’t have to supplement things in, your energy levels go up, and you feel really, really proud of yourself for what you’ve accomplished.

So do you want to do it the quick way… or the right way? If it’s the right way, let me know. I’d love to help. Just remember, I won’t make promises that I can’t keep.
